A Tribute to Ravinder Kumar Khare

आह करती है ज़िन्दगी,

आह भरती है ज़िन्दगी,

जीवन के हर सुख की

चाह करती है ज़िन्दगी।

(extract from a poem by Ravinder Khare)

To many who were acquainted tohim, Ravinder Kumar Khare was the jovial, ever smiling character always readyto participate in group activities, crack a joke and generally enliven theatmosphere with his one liner from Hindi songs and his perpetually improvingBangla.

Ravinder was a man of many seasons. Equally adept in Hindi Language research, shaking a leg on stage, play melodious tunes on his Bansuri, singing songs, penning poems, taking initiative to organize events etc. Many of you might have seen his famous dance in the Durgapuja cultural event this year.

For Cyberabad Bengali association,he was not only the Asst cultural secretary but was invaluable in hiscontributions to all activities of event management due to his charming nature, selfless work and great attitude. To his friends he was one of the best they had and it is an irreplaceable loss.

Ravinder was a Paper technologist by education who moved over to domain of Functional Hindi language research and was close to completing his M.Phil from Hyderabad Central University. He received the young achiever of the year award for the second year in a row a few weeks back for his outstanding performance in studies from former Indian President APJ Abdul Kalam.

A native of Katni, MadhyaPradesh, this son –in-law of Bengal, by virtueof his marriage to Anwesha, was every cent a "Khanti Bangali" in spirit. For his family this is a singular loss of a doting father, a caring husband and a responsible son. We all pray toGod to give strength to Ravinder's wife Anwesha, his son Nachiket and their family members in this time of crisis.
